Kendra is a Yoga Alliance certified vinyasa instructor who teaches both private sessions and group classes, offering guided mediation/yoga nidra, prenatal, gentle, and power vinyasa throughout NYC. She loves teaching a challenging and vigorous flow, but finds balance by focusing on mindful and safe alignment, making her classes suitable for all levels. You can expect her class to be informative, as she attends to each individual’s needs, preparing the body for and building toward a peak pose with the ultimate goal of helping you to deepen your practice each time you hit the mat. She likes to remind her students that stillness and moving slowly is often more difficult than a fast paced power flow so, regardless of the level, there is always something to take away.
Her love for yoga began when she was a little girl, tagging along with her mom to take prenatal classes in the home of Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. At the time, it was something fun and different that had a guarantee of cookies and chai tea afterwards, but this was just the beginning of many years of practice. As an actress and competitive athlete, yoga gave her the time and space to let go of everything else swirling around her, and helped her find breath and balance on and off the mat. Finally, after years of practice, she found an even deeper love and appreciation for yoga through teaching.
You can expect her class to challenge your physical limits, bring you greater knowledge of your body and breath in the poses, and most importantly to laugh and let go.
