Kendra Thomas is a Yoga Alliance certified vinyasa instructor with a decade of experience teaching yoga (both private sessions and group classes), mediation/yoga nidra, and strength classes throughout NYC.
Whether teaching yoga or other modalities her focus is on form and function in the movement, helping you to find your strength and discover your deepest expression of the poses, while cultivating calm in the mind. She endeavors to uplift and support her students so they leave class feeling empowered and more grounded, while laughing and letting go one breath at a time. You can expect her class to be informative, as she attends to each individual’s needs, with the ultimate goal of helping you to deepen your practice each time you hit the mat. She assisted in creating unique class concepts for various yoga studios and helped bring to life the signature meditation + HIIT class for Mind Body Project as one of the two founding instructors. Currently, she teaches at The Well, Sui, Lucky Honey, and Heatwise, where she runs the sculpt teacher trainings. When she isn's teaching in person classes/privates in NYC she can be found consulting with studios, guest teaching internationally, and leading domestic and international retreats. While she loves a vigorous flow, she reminds her students that stillness and moving slowly is often more difficult than a faster paced flow. There is always something to take away. |
